Unified PE

I had the pleasure of joining this celebration today and being able to comment on the good things that go on in our schools. Unified Phy Ed at the High School pairs special needs students with those from the general ed population. For the length of the class and semester, these kids participate and spend time together doing the physical activities you would expect in a gym class. All earn PE credit, but the reward is much more than that. Valuable friendships and connections are made that last into their remaining HS years.

An offshoot of this is the TRUST club as highlighted in the picture.

9th grade band joined in and got experience playing in front of a group consisting of their peers, administration and board members.
