The Kids are Alright
I always find it a pleasure to visit or meet with students. In this instance, I met with two High School groups working on separate projects. One doing research for theater and the fall play. It should be an interesting production. I have purchased my tickets early in anticipation.
The other was for a class on government. I enjoyed engaging with them about the rules, regulations, and process of school district governance.
I am always uplifted following these types of interactions with students, whether it be in a conference room, on the bus, or at events. I learn a lot from our conversations and get to know more of the depth and quality of the experience of being a student in the Stillwater Area School District.
The conversation ended when the bell rang and they all had 7 minutes to get to their next class.
